Welcome to the April issue of The Islands View newsletter. This month we list a few events occuring as well as the end of an era in the Davis Islands Village. Also, remember on April 4th the Davis Islands Civic Association will have their monthly meeting to discuss future Islands initiatives, all residents are welcome to attend. End of an Era
At the end of May a long time staple of the Davis Islands Village “Serendipity – Accents and Gifts” will be closing its doors. This locally owned shop has been on Davis Islands for over 24 years and has offered Islands residents and visitors the opportunity to purchase unique and Islands theme products. Each week during April and May Serendipity will be holding a different sale until they close. Next time you are in the village stop in, give your well wishes and pick up some great items.
Fur Friend Wall Memorial
Our pets are like family and what better way to honor them, then with an engraved plaque located on the Davis Islands Dog Park Dedication Wall. This wall was constructed a few years back as a remembrance to the love and companionship our fur kids have given. If you are interested in purchasing a plaque just download the order form and follow the instructions. Each engraved weather resistant plaque is 5″x 5″ for only $75. Proceeds go to the cost of the plaque as well as contribute to the continued upkeep of the wall and enhancements to the Davis Islands dog parks.

Davis Islands’ Nextdoor.com site continues to grow. We are now over 1,541 neighbors from 1,425 last month. I highly encourage you to Register for free @ Nextdoor.com/DavisIslands to stay updated on our Islands community. Also if you are already a member please invite one other person and remember this is just for Davis Islands residents.
Next Davis Islands Civic Board Meeting
The next meeting of the DI Civic Association will be held Tuesday April 4th at the Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex, starting at 7:30pm.
DAVIS ISLANDS LAND DEVELOPMENT & ZONING ACTIVITY
We thought it would be helpful to keep residents updated on requests made to the City of Tampa for zoning, variance or design changes for properties on the Islands. Each month the City of Tampa publishes these filings for all City of Tampa residents, it is called the C.A.R.E. S Newsletter.
