THE DAVIS ISLANDS NEWSLETTER
Welcome to the September issue of The Islands View newsletter.
Stop and think. Did you realize that our Davis Islands community is the most amenity rich community in all of South Tampa and I would venture to say in the City of Tampa. While other neighborhoods are working to build their amenities and lifestyle (i.e. Westshore Marina Pointe), we are fortunate enough to already have everything at our finger tips and we don’t pay an HOA to have it! Below I have put together a list of Islands Amenities we have access to which are just steps away from our homes.
- Roy Jenkins Pool (heated, open year round $15 for yr Rec Card)
- Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex (8 clay tennis courts $6.42 per person)
- Dog Parks (2 parks, one wet and one dry, free)
- Davis Islands Multi-Use Trail (1.5 miles, free)
- Seaplane Basin Park (free)
- Bayshore Little League Field (seasonal)
- Davis Islands Playgrounds (free)
- Marjorie Park Marina (slip fees vary)
- Dry Cleaners
- 2 Hair Salons
- Nail Salon
- Dog Grooming
- Post Office
- Private Personal Training Suites
- Auto Repair
- 2 Pirate Water Taxi Pickup locations
- Coastal Bike Share location
- 2 Banks
- 2 Gas Stations
- 15 Restaurants

DAVIS ISLANDS LAND DEVELOPMENT & ZONING ACTIVITY
We thought it would be helpful to keep residents updated on requests made to the City of Tampa for zoning, variance or design changes for properties on the Islands. Each month the City of Tampa publishes these filings for all City of Tampa residents, it is called the C.A.R.E. S Newsletter. Details on the filings can be found by logging into the City of Tampa Online Portal This months requests are as follows:
