Welcome to the July Islands View newsletter. While we are in the thick of summer- enjoying vacations and spending time with family- please take a look at a fun Island event coming up on July 4th as well as the numerous opportunities to get involved going into the fall.

July 4th Golf Cart and Bike Parade

Join the Davis Islands Civic Association as they host the Annual Golf Cart and Bike Parade on July 4th. Decorate your Golf Cart or Bike and meet at Marjorie Park Marina at 9am. If you are interested in participating in the parade email events@dicivic.org.

Islands Opportunities to Get Involved

Davis Islands Garden Club – is a nonprofit organization to promote the beautification of Davis Islands. – details
Davis Islands Civic Association – to provide effective leadership on issues important to residents in a manner that protects and enhances the quality of life of the Davis Islands community. – details
Community Plan – responsible for advancing implementation of the Davis Islands Community Plan – details
Halloween in the Village Planning Committee – annual Islands event where businesses will open their doors to costume clad children, their parents and four legged sidekicks. The event is free and costume contests for kids and one for pets will be held.  Contact Jenn Fadal at info@wagoftampa.com
Building Tomorrow Capital Improvement Fund – a capital improvement campaign of the Islands.  This 501(c)(3) fund is utilized for public improvements on Davis Islands.  Individuals needed to continue the planning and implementation of the fund goals – details.  Contact president@dicivic.org

DI Civic Association Monthly Meeting

No Board Meeting this Month.  The next meeting of the DI Civic Association will be held Tuesday August 6th at the Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex, starting at 7pm.

REAL ESTATE MARKET UPDATED JUNE 2019

This month the real estate market on Davis Islands remained on trend from last month with very strong numbers.  Homes going under contract were 9 and new homes coming to market were 17. 13 homes closed with 31 available for sale.

The lowest priced home currently for sale came in at $329,900

The highest priced home currently for sale came in at $3,000,000

The lowest priced home that sold closed at $515,000

The highest priced home sold at $6,000,000

The Original List Price to Sales Price Ratio is 96.8 % 2019 vs 97.1% in 2018

The Average Days on Market for active properties is 26

In summary: Homes coming to market increased substantial as is typical in the summer selling season.  Homes going under contract continued at a steady pace from last month, while home prices of active properties continued to increase.
